I can honestly say that during my high school football days, way back in the late 90's, our passing attack was light years more advanced that what Gus currently runs. A quality passing game fits together like a puzzle and different elements are built off of each other. In other words, certain plays and routes set up other plays and routes. AU's passing game is a collection of individual plays, but lacks a cohesive structure that blends them together. We do a horrible job of setting up plays with other plays. We also do not attempt to attack the middle of the field with the intermediate passing game.
