We need Caddy in the next staff. How does he slot in? If Freeze/Kiffin/Deion come, do they have OCs they'd bring with them? I can't imagine Caddy going back to "just" a RB coach after what he's done to salvage the heart of the program.

Is there any precedent of having a third "coordinator" who is equal to offensive and defensive coordinators in pay/seniority but is in charge of recruiting or something like that? Something like the below?

QB Coach/Offensive Coordinator
RB Coach/Recruiting and Personnel Coordinator
LB Coach/Defensive Coordinator

How is it we get so peeved by any supposed interference into the program by the boosters and yet try to do the same thing?

The new HC should get complete control over the program. If he wants to keep Caddy, then that's great. If he doesn't, I'm sure the AD could find some role for him.

I would always hire someone who played the position they coach. Their whole life they have been taught to play that position. Why would they be better at teaching another position?

I just wonder if he would feel like he was downgraded by staying and want to look around for a running game coordinator or something else.

If he beats wku then he has done as good of a job as Harsin did this year.

Auburn isn’t tying Caddy’s hands. He can have a career like TRob or a Kodi Bliss or or he can be a lifetime CRG at the positional rank.

Caddy makes sense to stay but we cannot force that on the new hire. That’s JABA, Chuck Person type shite.

We appreciate Caddy, but we don’t owe him anything after the season.

Your takes are cartoonish. I often wonder if you're a real person. Answer me this, Batman, who won the US presidency in 1976? This should befuddle all the bots supporting you being a real person.

His take is the correct take.

Everybody is getting swept up in emotion and not thinking. Starting to worry me a little bit with former/current players calling for us to remove the tag. Fans demanding he be on the next staff.

If you don't want a guy like Caddy in the locker room, I won't support the football program. I'll up my Utah Crimson Club donation to $800 from $400.

Or we could have sloppy, fat, degenerate people like Rodney Garner who fricks Moms for recruits. NIL makes college football disgusting. I'm about done with it but Caddy is a servant leader. I'd take my unathletic arse to war with that guy. Have him coach something at Auburn. He needs to be at Auburn.

Running back coach for the next staff of the head coach wants him.

Auburn will not shite on Carnell. They will do everything possible to help
Him if not retained.

Anyone suggesting he should be a real contender for the HC needs their head examined. Because I have seen some out there.

Because I said we shouldn’t force the Caddy hire on anybody? Fact of the matter is Caddy is well loved by the players. Wright, the OL commits a personal foul. Ashford lights into him. Caddy hugs Him. Players like Caddy. The next HC may want to clean house and let everyone know who is in charge. If Caddy is a servant for Auburn like he says he is then then he will be a humble team player for the coaches above him if he does get to retain a role.

He's won more FBS games than your guy Sanders. Yet that doesn't stop you and others, from shilling for a guy with a couple of years coaching in FCS, to be the next Auburn HC.

At the end of the day, Cadillac is not qualified for the job. He has very little experience at coaching, just like Sanders. The difference is, Caddy is doing this the right way. Working his way up, gaining knowledge from guys who've done the same. Name a big time, successful coach then look at their work history. GA, position coach, coordinator, then HC.

To be 100% clear the next coach better get to pick his staff. I’m certainly not trying to interfere in who they pick.

I’m really just trying to figure out how Caddy would slot into a new staff because I’m not sure where he slots other than RB coach but I also don’t see how you make him just a RB coach after this. I’ve never heard of him being an Xs and Os guy but he’s an insane recruiter and player’s coach. His position group is probably the best on our team.

Caddy and Sanders are similar in experience. Other than the fact Deion is already a HC

Sanders is an icon nationwide from Venice Beach to Myrtle Beaxh. Caddy is an icon in Alabama.

We were after something different than pure culture hire when we wanted Sanders, so your whole point is irrelevant.
