I really wish we'd replace Leff. He is going to get one of our QBs injured

So has TJ Neal played a snap at LB?

I do too. I just find it hard to believe nobody is better than him.

That makes more sense given his twitter meltdown. I hope he figures it out

He is incredibly slow blocking speed rushers to the outside. He gets beat even when he cheats outside exposing himself to spin moves/stunts inside

Nice

Except no mention of Gus opened up throwing the ball? ...on first play ...and the 3rd play ...and then the 6th. Add in the seventh being a QB run(which was likely another passing down) and followed up with a KJ run, it had the look of passing to set up the run.

(Yes, against a little sister of the poor of course)

Pretty sure he posts on TD... mainly on the soccer board. Warslameagle or something like that.

That was a great breakdown. Showed exactly what we all saw with some weaknesses we all knew were there. I am going to rewatch tonight and look a little more deeply at Leff. Hope they saw something last week in the 2 and 3's to fill in if he does not get better.

As the other 4 OL improve, Leff will only be a true liability against great pass rushes. He is a solid run blocker and getting beat off the edge is only a problem if the interior OL doesn't pass block well.

Right now, our interior OL is underperforming and allowing the pocket to collapse/pressure on the QB. When Leff inevitably gets beaten off the edge, the QB can't step forward into the pocket giving the DE a clear path.

The key to neutralizing their pass rush will be our inside rushing... if we have success and don't turn it over, we're gonna score. We've mauled this defense for three years... but it's improved in chavis 2nd season.

This game all comes down to our OLs ability to get push in the run game (assuming we don't turn it over like 2014).

Their defense is very much like ours. Showed promise last year going from fringe 100 ranked to around 50. The DL for the first time has experience and depth, their LBs are healthy and they return some good safeties.

I don't expect us to slice through their defense like we did last eyar, not with our decline on the OL coupled with their improved front 7

If someone was hypothetically wanting to watch the entire AU v. Arkansas State game online, where might they find a link?

I'd check the internet first. That's usually the best place for links.

Seems it usually takes a week or two for a full game to make Youtube. Don't know for sure - keep checking. Not sure, but this might be due to ESPN still having (re)broadcast rights for their WATCH-ESPN app. They do rebroadcast most FBS games at least once the following week.

I know they kept the starter OL in for a long time, likely trying to get them to gel. I hope that with the depth getting some play they see ways to improve all of the play if they do not come around during the A&M game.
