That was during my time there. Could tell barkley and Bo were very very good but didn't realize how good until much later. Just thought that was normal.

Bo and Barkley were my time at AU. Frank was just after I graduated. I am very attached to all three.

I collect baseball cards, but I dont collect sets. I collect players. I started collecting FT cards 20 years ago. I have now well over 500 Frank Thomas cards in a special album that I got him to autograph when he and Bo and Tim Hudson got honored during the commemoration of the outfield wall in Auburn.

I wont ever sell it, but I knew when I started seriously collecting his stuff, that he would be HOF.

What pisses me off is that in the 90 draft, the braves had the No2 selection. They picked Tyler Houston. A catcher, who they eventually traded to the cubs. No3 was Frank Thomas. From Columbus GA. To think he coulda been a brave at the same time as Glavine and Smoltz and Avery etc, etc. Jesus.

I think I liked the show better than the "Roll Tide, War Eagle" show. At times I got chills watching it.

shite almost brings a tear to my eye. The way they ended it, explaining how once you go to AU, you're hooked for life. It's the truth.

This exactly. Especially for me because those were my years in school. ESPECIALLY Bo over the top.

The picture on the front page of the birmingham news the sunday after the 23-22 game has the goal posts being torn down. The kid sitting on top of those goal posts is me.

I was disappointed in RT/WE because it didnt address the deep history of the game. It goes back so far beyond Cam and Ingram and whatever in the last few years. This game is in the soul of Alabamians and those who went to the schools involved. Its who you are, regardless of how old you are.

I was left wondering...where is Joe Namath, John Hannah, Johnny Musso, Stabler, Tucker Fredickson, Vince Dooley, Pat Sullivan, Terry Beasley, etc, etc, etc.

So much history short sheeted.

I hated RT/WE. Too much Updyke. It does put us in a better light than Bama.

Bo, Barkley and The Big Hurt was GREAT. All positive, loved the ending. Brings this to another generation. Had forgotten how close Barkley was to winning a championship.

I don't know if the young ones will ever be able to understand just how important the Bo Over The Top victory was and still is to those of us who lived that time.

Its my favorite Iron Bowl ever. SO MANY feelz from that game I still remember like it was yesterday.

I think in time we are going to see much more of those type of shows from the SECNetwork. I am hopeful anyway that more of the history of the SEC will be explored. That show was done really well on Bo, Chuck, and Frank.

That type of programming I feel is what will elevate the network for all of their viewers.

I'd watch a show like that for any other SEC program.

The Big Hurt as a HOFer really is one of the greats, but if you think about the era he played and PED's with him being seen as one of the few clean players. He literally would have been the best player of his era or at least in the conversation with KG Jr. and the clean version of Barry Bonds.

From about 1993-4 onwards he was. Griffey eventually got old, and Bonds roided up.

You sure, I thought the Braves took Chipper with that pick...

Frank was in the 1989 draft.

And he was the 7th overall pick.

And, yes, the Braves picked catcher Tyler Houston and not Frank. That would have been a Bobby Cox decision since he was the GM of the Braves at that time.

Tyler Houston was a career .265 hitter with 63 home runs and 253 RBI. Good job, Bobby.

Just watched it. Best Auburn show yet. Blew away the roll tide/war Eagle

Something about this show jacked me up, almost got me emotional at times

The director could not have picked a better iron bowl though. .. Talk about timing
