Can someone please tell me why Jeff Fisher's name keeps coming up? Why would he leave an NFL job where he's getting paid $7 million annually until 2017 for Auburn? Because his son plays there? I fail to see the logic here.

I saw Jeff Fisher at sky bar with his daughter a couple years ago... So I think it's safe to say he is a definite lock.

1 Jeff Fisher isn't going to be coaching at Auburn in the near future. It's not happening and we shouldn't want it to.

2 Bobby Petrino is being considered and will be interviewed. I don't know that he will be hired, but it would be almost inconceivable for an AD that comments on almost nothing to make a public statement saying he will not consider X person. If he does, it's another reason why he shouldn't be the AD.

Contrary to what we all believe, every phone call we take from our well connected friend isn't worth posting.

Of those 3 I like Pelini the best. Hard arse no nonsense coach that likes to play physical on both sides of the ball. IMO he is very similar to Will Muschamp. Fisher is ok and a definite improvement over Chizik. Smart do not want.

I sat a few seats down from him at the Chick-fil-a bowl last year. He's definitely a stone cold lock.

Pelini looks like a slob on the sidelines. I'm not sure what's worse- Chizik looking like Floyd the barber in his smock or Pelini looking like a 12 year old in his Dad's college sweatshirt.

If Pelini wins, I'll get over it.

Do not want Pelini at all. Petrino, Patterson, and Peterson are all better IMO

Pelini's record at Nebraska isn't bad at all, but considering it's been in the Big 12/Big 10, it's not great like it should be.

He's lost 4 games in 4 of his 5 years there. If you're losing 4-5 games a year in the Big 10 and Big 12, you're not going to be any better than mediocre in the SEC.

Agree, Let's not go to Whoville to get our next coach.
