Why do you say that?

All I care about is the opportunity to have an outside shot at the NCG if we do the things we have to do. I feel like one less undefeated team ahead of us is a good thing, even if it's a loss to a 1-loss team we're also competing with.

ETA: If we come up short of the NCG, taking care of business still takes us to the Sugar Bowl which is the 2nd-best case scenario.

If we win out, with a win over UGA and Bama and the SEC championship over a 1 loss Mizzou or 2 loss USC would be enough to make us the top 1 loss team around. We would still need Baylor, FSU or OSU to lose before the end of the year though.

Jerry Palm really has it out for Auburn. Year after year.

Because we need every spot possible if we lose a game. We can still go to the sugar bowl with 2 loses.

Beating UGA is critical. Beating Bama is not. As far as a sugar bowl opportunity.

If we won out, we would need so many things to happen, it's almost not feasible. I am with you on wanting the slim chance but I just feel like we are too far back.

Gator but he is wrong there too. If we lose the last 2 I think we would be the first 3 loss team picked for a Bowl so I say outback or cotton at the worst.

He picked us to lose to UT. He's obviously a hater.

I think so too for recruiting leverage and to prove a point. UGA isn't playing awfully well this year and has looked downright bad at times, we need to lay the wood to them this year and beat the brakes off of them.

I would love to beat Bama but realistically, they are still ahead of us at most positions on both sides of the ball. Playing Bama well and not getting shut out and blown out is the biggest thing to me.

Remember, we are supposed to be in a rebuild mode this year and we are way ahead of schedule in most eyes.

I agree beating UGA is critical. They have whipped our arse recently and next year the state of GA is stacked with great recruits. We are in a battle with UGA for a lot of them. While the result of this game is not a deciding factor, it is an influencer IMO due to the fact UGA has been beating us for a while now.
