We just got a bunch of WR on NSD. I don't think we would have gotten those guys if we were planning on starting JF3.

Why does everyone seem to think JF3 can't pass the ball?

Not only would it be dumb to pass on their talent, we needed to take a minimum of 3 WRs anyways. There are only 4 returning WRs on our roster that will have eligibility in 2017.

I wish we were like other schools that trotted out playmakers at wide receiver if we had them... It doesn't matter if they're "ready" or not in my mind, they need to be out there getting reps and getting better.

Players like Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, Julio Jones, Christian Kirk, Malachi Dupre, LaQuan Treadwell, Malcolm Mitchell, Terry Godwin, Speedy Noil, Mike Evans (redshirt), Odell Beckham Jr, Donte Moncreif, Dorial Green-Beckham, Justin Hunter, Joe Adams, AJ Green, Alshon Jeffery and so forth...

Now, I realize the odds of Eli Stove, Kyle Davis, Darius Slayton and Nate Craig-Myers being as good as these players are slim, but we need to get our young playmakers out there and let them take their lumps early so it pays off quick.

Right now, our top 3 are Jason Smith, Tony Stevens and Marcus Davis. Defenses aren't scared...

C.

By far the best Passer on the list. It doesn't matter how great of a WR class we signed if the QB runs it every time or throws it backwards.

Why does everyone just assume he can pass good enough to win at the college level?

I know ratings don't tell everything but he didn't have a great offer list out of HS. I'm surprised FSU did compared to who else did. He was rated an 83 and the 29th DT QB. By comparison Jonathan Wallace was an 86 and 17th DT QB.

Gotta be C. Surely we wouldn't have wasted that much effort/resources on this incoming group of receivers if we weren't planning on building them into the offense.

B) Jeremy Johnson will toughen up a little and become more of a run threat.

its not what I want, its what I think will happen

Also, I think if it came down to it, JJ would beat out White again (even though that is not and would not be a popular outcome). End of day, I don't have a lot of confidence in either though.

What if Jeremy Johnson is Jason Campbell 2.0?

The lights didn't really come on for JC till his Sr year.

A.

And Campbell led the SEC in passing completion percentage his junior year. The problem was the offensive play calling. If it was 3rd and 7 we ran a 5 yard route. If it was 3rd and 5 we ran a 3 yard route.

JC completed a ton of passes and we still ended up punting but that was 100% coaching.

Jason was a good QB since the 2nd half of the Florida game his Soph year in 2002. We should have won the West that year. But 4th and 13 vs Georgia...

To answer the OP, I have no idea. I don't really have a clue as to what Gustav/Lashlee want out of the position anymore.

What I would HOPE for, would be C, with A coming in frequently in the wildcat. Seems like that formation would finally make sense as a change-of-pace, especially if A was capable of completing the occasional pass to keep defenses guessing.
