I've always thought of the power ranking in the exact sense of "power" or "strength." Like which team has the most potential or firepower. Power rankings always seem to be a lot more trendy in their rankings, giving teams on the rise of with a lot of excitement a higher ranking. I may be completely wrong, that's just how I've always perceived it.

I know that the rankings aren't solely based on how good a team is but a projection of where they will be at the end of a season based on schedule and other factors. Maybe power ranking is straight up how good each team is.

Vegas has Auburn going 8-4 the most surprising is Auburn is a 6.5 underdog to Arkansas.

Just zero fricks given about this. We never seem to do well when much is expected. Maybe Malzahn will get past that. Lets just win game 1...then game 2 etc...

Phil Steele's magazine is filled with acronyms and annoying as frick to read. Frick this magazine. His forecast was actually a recap of prior seasons save this one sentence, 'Aub hosts both Alabama and Georgia in Nov and are a National Title Contender'.

FYI=Phil Steele won the magazine pre season forcaster award. He had Bama 4, Oklahoma 9, MSU and Clemson 17 & 18. So if that makes him the winner, the others were obviously doomed b/c there high auburn picks.
