the Afternoon Sports Drive was pretty good when Neal McCready was on there.

I liked him because he wasn't all that bland.

I think the newer guys could be better but were probably told to keep it basic.

i mean there is just no other way around it to me. They are a people pleasing audience so it doesn't make for good radio in my opinion.

good opportunity for Marshall. I think the Jaguars coaching staff are going to coach the South team again.

the North team will be coached by the Titans.

Tim Brando and others I listen to on SiriusXM 91 have Savage on regularly. Strongly dislike him because its hard to understand him with Sabans crank in his mouth.

Preach it.

And using stats to compare Sims and Marshall is pretty funny. One threw to a heisman finalist for 124 completions.

I think playing QB at the senior bowl is brilliant for NM. Dude can scramble, find an open receiver and connect better than anyone. Probably more opportunities to do that at the senior bowl then to run legit routes successfully. He'll probably come out looking very good as an athlete and player, may help his stock.

He threw away his offense jersey and is playing CB all week. They already brought in another QB to replace him.

Metafour the gawd is right again.

One thing about Sims vs Marshall, Sims threw nearly half (45%) of his throws to 1 receiver, Cooper. Cooper accounted for 3.5x more yards and 3x more receptions than their #2 receiver. So was it Cooper or Sims?

NM didn't have a single player with more than 25% of the receptions. He extended a lot of plays and seemed very cool under pressure.

BTW, Sims would throw an INT about 2.6% of the time he attempted a pass and would throw 2.8 TDs per INT. Marshall was 2.4% and 2.86.

I don't think Sims will make it in the NFL at all and I hate that for him if it was his dream because he seems like a great kid. IDK, at least from far away. NM would have to be on a PHL Eagles like team to have a chance at succeeding as a QB imho.

But I think they'll gladly take him as a DB especially considering the bonus ability as a proven dual threat QB. I bet an OC might want to use in a package or two.

So really he's a bit of a swiss army knife and on an NFL limited roster that might come in really handy.

This was filed last night:

"I don't think (Marshall) was that interested in doing the defensive back deal here as an initiation in front of all the NFL scouts, and I understand that," Savage said. "(The Jaguars have) been through something sorta similar to this but Nick primarily will be at quarterback, if not 99 percent of the time."

If anybody thinks Sims is a better QB than Nick Marshall they should have their head examined.

Neither will play QB in the NFL but it doesn't take a homer to prefer Marshall over Sims as a QB. It just takes someone who watches football and understands the game.

Reese's Senior Bowl ?@seniorbowl

@FootballAU QB Nick Marshall has chosen to move to DB. @sluathletics QB Bryan Bennett will be added to the South roster to fill that spot.
