It’s a bracket format. Semi finals today. Tucker Smith from Auburn matched against a kid from Montevallo. Hayden Marbut from Auburn matched against another Montevallo kid. Winners advance to fish on Monday for a spot in the Bassmasters Classic. Could be an all Auburn final.

I am sponsoring one of the new kids there from Newnan Georgia. Montevallo is a strong Bass Fishing Program

I tried to look up my old fishing buddy from my Auburn days Friday. Just wanted to say hello and maybe catch up on the last 50 plus years. You can find most anyone on Internet these days, but alas all I found was his obituary from 2019.

There were 4 pictures of him on the obit site, all of them showed him proudly showing his catch of a five or six pound bass. Best shot was him wearing his Auburn hat with a nice catch.

Rest in peace old friend.

Montevallo won the National championship last season.

As for the chicks. They were terrible back when I was there. I mean you had a handful of hot chicks but overall a lot of weirdo meh folks. However as a jock you had the pick of whatever you wanted.

Cry bitch.

Despite all your near certainties, you have never been right once.

No, he’s right here, you’re a fricking a-hole and nobody likes you. Your own
mother doesn’t even like you.

Do I care? No.

All I did was announce a downvote and that got you into your precious feelings. You are the one ruining the thread.

Stop being a vaggg. Be a man, Corch is 40!

I'm glad you did, as others are. Thank you. I just told Lanier last week how much I missed fishing.

5 minutes from our home. Been fishing here 45 years. Spent a nice afternoon here last November when I was home.

Can't you fish in Japan? I understand fishing culture here in the United States isn't applicable in Japan but this kinda shocks me because I thought Japan was a maritime-oriented country.

If not, just come back to America

I do miss freshwater fishing a little but there is so much more to enjoy with Saltwater that I have tons to learn and enjoy. I have always thought fishing was one of those things that every person needs to experience in their life. Not every person is going to get the same thing out of it but they need to experience it, the right way, to decide.

It was and has been a business for me, over 30 years, that I am starting to really enjoy it again for the true joy of just getting out and going fun fishing.

I am working on my Coast Guard Captains license right now so I can do some guiding in the gulf but honestly, I dont know If I want to make my fishing a business again. The bait business is just fine

Yes, I can and do. I prefer trout fishing to anything else. Except catfishing. I've been thinking about fishing a new river closeby but can't get away from the PC and footbaw;-). The weather is finally fall-like. Will hit the water soon.

Yep. You have to find your own spots. I've got a great saltwater spot that drops off to about 15 meters (50 feet) about 50 feet out, rocks / sand bottom with few snags but lots of fish (mackerel, snapper, rockfish / scorpion fish, flounder) on private land on the water - a former client who runs an international sealife importing / exporting business for aquariums and pet shops around the world. Suruga Bay, Japan's deepest is a 15 minute drive, so I have great salt or freshwater fishing within 15 minutes. I love my home(s).
