No, Auburn isn't.
We have the same issues as everyone else in our league. How many teams are replacing Qbs this year? We are returning a Qb that played well when healthy. Need i remind you that players do get better with time and experience. Take Arkansas Qb for example. He was the worst Qb in the league...now he is going to be drafted.

Dont lose faith in your team.

You do realize that what you posted is not evidence to prove your point. Might want to consider that correlation does not equal causation next time you wish to call names.

Oh really? Our former AD conceding the fact that Bama and Bear intentionally turned Birmingham into a predominantly Bama fan base doesn't prove my point? I'd LOVE to hear an explanation of how having a larger fan base doesn't positively effect recruiting. I'm sure it's riveting.

You cannot prove a negative. You are not very good at this game.

You don't think Auburn playing football in the largest city in Alabama would have a positive impact on recruiting? There's a reason the Iron Bowl was played in Birmingham for so long and Bama used a Legion afield for some regular season games.

The game will not be in BHAM. Playing the IB in BHAM favored Alabama, that was their home field for 50 years. It never helped Auburn. Auburn football is much better for moving the IB to Auburn. Bama even finally saw the light and moved it to Ttown.

That was back in the days of one, maybe two, college football games on TV on Saturdays.

Playing in Birmingham would have zero zilch nada impact on Auburn recruiting. If it was done, it would be because we were doing a favor to a program like UAB.

Am I the only person that doesn't get a boner about playing UAB?

I don't see much of an upside to the matchup

Hmmmmmm...

Memo to self, Jonesy requires football opponents to give him boners.

I did. It was a great article. But, I don't see why Auburn would want to play there. Legion Field is a shithole and even UAB doesn't want to play there (but I'm not going to get on that soap box).

I'd be pumped if they played each other. I'd be that confused fan with Auburn and UAB gear on

What's up Nite? Hope all is well. And yes, Legion Field is a shithole. But a home and home series with UAB would be good for both schools.

Auburn loses to Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Georgia and Clemson - with Arkansas Mississippi State and Texas A&M being toss ups.

We could just as easily win every one of those

We could just as easily lose every one of those as well. no way I'd put Georgia as a sure loss with a new HC if anything they should be a tossup

Doing well. Trying to finish up school and plan a wedding Hope you're doing well yourself

Yes, it'd be very beneficial for both schools, especially UAB.

I didnt until you made a big deal out of it. my holy shite moment was the $1.5 million part. doesnt seem like that long ago since that number would have been about $500k.

In today's world of every game being on TV and recruiting being the monster it is now, Auburn playing in Birmingham does not help Auburn much at all.

By 2020 or whenever we play them it's entirely possible that they'll have a new stadium.

I pray to sweet baby jesus that they get an on-campus stadium soon.

In Novemember the BJCC voted to hire a firm to update their master plans to include an open-air football stadium.

An on-campus stadium would be ideal, but BJCC is still a giant step up from Legion Field
