Because we sell out the big games in good years but not in bad. And we rarely sell out a lesser game.

I prefer watching in person only because you can see the 22 man perspective. If they gave that for every game, I would never attend a game in person.
The "experience" of being in an energetic crowd is much better accommodated going to say Basketball games. Noise is trapped, game play doesn't have lulls and quick energy boost type plays.

Yeah that's the lag effect from going to a national championship recently. I'm sure the beginning of 2011 saw the same effect. That's very shortsighted if they make decisions based solely on recent results.

I have heard (and I don't know if its true or not) that the East and West upper decks are not exactly level with one another.
So "bowling" the end zones to connect the existing upper decks would be problematic if that is the case.

While it would never happen
-Increasing student section (making some loyalty program to encourage students to stay)
-Add luxury boxes/club seating to complete bowl
-Build new seating to eat away at current capacity and get it down to 80k
-Add some type of awning over upper deck as sun shade
Noise levels at Autzen Stadium (Oregon) are some the loudest in the country despite seating sub 70k. The key is filling the seats and getting people involved, not packing more apathetic people in.

I hope, however, that they do not make the tv/radio/coaching boxes move. Those areas need to have a sideline view so that they can see the action from that angle. Looking at it from behind an endzone would greatly limit their ability to correctly call a game.

I have a couple of concerns. What happens to folks that currently have end zone seats? Will the new concourse keep folks from moving around the stadium and in effect separate the east and west stands

From the look of it, the top of the bottom section will have the concourse, and it appears to be the same height as the current concourse around the middle of the lower bowl.
ETA: Though, now that I look at it more, I may be mistaken there. It might not connect with that.

For less money, our rivals get lounges, chair backs, and the ability to bring booze into the stadium. We're doing this wrong.

yea, but none of that gives you the game-day experience. I have a big screen TV, lots of booze, tons of food and a nice chair but I still would rather be on campus for the games.
I have been driving farther than most with my tickets for years. And will continue as long as I can. Its a great way to spend the day

Agreed but with a 5 and 7 year old at the house, its a pain sometimes to go to the game. Years (and years and years) ago, before we had children, we lived in Charlotte and had season tix and went every game. thats 400 miles one way. We were out of our minds.
