We ran that dumb reverse pass with Wallace against Arky St or WSU early on...it did not work

No it was the same wraparound draw, just with some boot action to draw the backers over.

NM did not wrap his arm around Tre's waist.

Here's the TD carry and it is NOT a wraparound draw

Edit: parkjas is correct

The one thing that has to impress you about Gus is his ability to adapt and change his philosophy... he's gone from a pass heave system at Tulsa to nearly 65% run in 2013.

Gus ran the ball 62% of the time at Tulsa in 2008 and about 50% of the time in 2007. So I think you can say he adapts to the talent he has, but he's always been a 60% run guy.

But I wouldn't expect you will see him run it 65% of the time normally unless we lack a passing QB. The only reason we aren't passing more is because Marshall has been bad as a passer.

Hopefully we work on the pass a bit against Tenn, because being so lopsided will be an issue against GA, and flat out won't cut it against Bama.

I completely agree. I rewatched the 2009 UT game, and there was so many plays that were pass back to Kodi and let him heave it over the head of Adams that it still made me cringe. Also, after watching it again, how the hell did we win that game? Our offense couldn't hear anything Todd was saying and he snapped it at :01 on the play clock for the majority of the first half.

Big part of it was that we ran 52 offensive plays - in the FIRST HALF. Contrast that with last week, when we managed only 55 for the whole game. We had a two-to-one advantage in TOP in the first half as well.

Classic Gustav boatrace game. I remember seeing the Vols DL looking gassed with their hands on their hips in the first possession of the 2nd quarter.

Would love to see that again this Saturday.
