Does the parents of college athletes have to go through some sort of class or session to tell them that they are not allowed to receive certain things from people?

I know the athlete themselves have meetings on not taking money or anything else, but I'm not sure if the parents do or not.

Don't have the answer to your question but it would be a good program for all to attend.

The Marines have something similiar for family members of deploying Marines. You have to get your stuff in order. Most don't really listen but from a leadership standpoint you have to present the challenges and options.

Sometimes it is not about the knowledge but about the situation of the individual. Personally I think most of the families of these athletes know taking money is against the rules but I have seen first hand (outside of sports) what can happen to new money or potential new money.

In fact I am watching one of my customers do the same thing with his daddy's money right now. The man was taught better....much more so than a class or program could have instilled. He will be broke in 3 years. Says a lot about what his Dad left him (in more ways than one).
