I've got to go to a function for the wife on Saturday night and I plan on taking my iPad and hot-spot so I can watch the game. Any pointers?

Download it, have your cable provider info if you pay your bill online, and rock out.

Don't check social media while watching.

love it and use it a lot. Double down on Saturdays and watch stuff when i'm at work (shhhh) when there is something on. As stated below download the app, make sure your provider supports Watch ESPN and have your email address and password.

Works well. About 30 seconds behind the live broadcast.

Ahh, so I won't be able to listen to Rod and Stan while I watch. bummer.

Have it all ready to go well before the game. Seems like I've had to restart the feed a lot in the past.

It works well. I don't have cable in my apartment so I use the app to watch any games of interest. I have chromecast plugged into my tv, so I can 'cast' the game from my iPad to tv.
Yes, the one downside is it lags behind about 1 play or so. If you're checking the game forum on here as the game is unfolding, it's a but nerve racking because you have to guess what's going to happen based on comments.

How so? If this isn't going to work, I need a plan B.
My concern is my T-Mobile hot spot. If 4G isn't available, it isn't going to work.

It depends on which device I guess. It works fine on my xbox but I figured you wouldn't using that since you mentioned using a tmobile hotspot. I have never gotten it to work on my iPad or laptop.

If you've got 4g or a wifi network, it should work fine.

Use it alot when I'm out. Works great with LTE coverage.

Went to a concert Saturday night and used the app to watch the game... works really well.

use it all the time. As someone mentioned before, the game will be behind live broadcast by 30 seconds or so, so make sure you aren't keeping up with game threads or anything like that. I used Watch ESPN on my phone to watch the entire world cup while I was at work. I had zero issues, and really don't think you will either as long as you've got a decent signal.

I use it all the time and it is great. Buffers fast. Now, the CBS app is a different story. I hate it.
