Im with you. Just leave them alone. What's wrong them now? Minus the tramp stamp. What's the point on changing them. To get all dolled up to impresse some kids?

I never said they did... I am saying the uniforms are great already. Why is change needed?

I want them to come out in a totally horrendous uniform so I can move to some better seats.

Yes! Because recruits don't take Auburn seriously now.

We aren't some gimmick school. We don't need dumb ugly arse uniforms. Let the lesser schools play dress up.

Again, bigger/better programs than Auburn have modified/added to their uniforms recently.

So that makes it right?

Yes we must conform to others!! That's what will take our program to the next step!

I don't see why we can't have one game a year where we do this. Would make it fun mix up.

Gimmicks have nothing to do with it.

I'm not saying Auburn needs to do this. My responses have been to the crowd that says that only gimmicky, smaller schools have alternate uniforms.

Holy crap, settle down. Some of you take this stuff way too seriously. If Auburn trotted out blue pants or a blue helmet, some of you would probably have a heart attack.

Uniforms literally have nothing to do with on-field performance. It's just something that brands do that a good bit of the athletes enjoy from time to time. Also can be used to make the school money.

Yeah, Auburn's never made any uniform changes ever...and we've never had, say, an orange alternate jersey or anything like that.

Are you serious at all?

We should have a throwback year. Wear uniforms from the past different one each home game

Keep backtracking, pal. Maybe you can try out for cornerback.

Uhh...what? Did you seriously just type this?

I never backtracked and my opinion remains. Auburn's uniforms shouldn't be changed in any appreciable way.

Those uniforms you posted were great examples on why we shouldn't change ours. Thanks for that.

BTW, I've never seen half of those on the field, but then again, why would I watch most of those teams.

Our uniforms are perfect (minus some of the subtle tweaks), no reason to mess with them.

Nope. I thought it and it magically appeared on my screen.

You said that teams without tradition are the ones that change up their uniforms.

I proved that wrong.

Then you make another statement based on personal opinion. Nothing wrong with that, just start off with that next time. Don't make stuff up that's completely wrong. I don't think Auburn needs to change up their uniforms either, but I don't make statements like you did and then have to back up to arguing from my opinion.

That was what I called backtracking.

The 1970's were some dark times in AU football history.. specifically late 70's. We blew a hard one.
