I'm ok with this actually

It tells me 2 things
1) He is cutting all ties with the previous regime. Clean slate.
2) He isn't afraid to do what he thinks is best for the program (i.e. he isn't just a "yes" man)

The article does say he told them all they could apply with the new OC/DC.

I like it other than Trooper. He was a damn good recruiter. And we need defensive player now!

Ballsy move. I really hope we keep the recruits... It would really make the transition smoother with Reuben, Lawson, and maybe Liner.

Good move by Malzahn. Why keep assistants that helped contribute to the problem?

He said he would still consider Auburn but Troop is a huge part of his commitment

Here is the Foster comment. Not very definitive either way really:

Auburn (Ala.) Rivals100 five-star linebacker Reuben Foster

"It's a good hire, my thoughts are good. I don't remember him from Auburn though, I have to build a relationship with him like I have with Coach Trooper (Taylor). I just hope they keep Coach 'Troop'. I talked to Coach 'Troop' earlier today and I told him I hope they keep you and I'm going to play with him. I'm still committed to Auburn though."
