My family has been in Alabama for almost 200 years. Country music is awful. It's one of the few genres of music that I can't appreciate.

I'm not even going to get into that debate in this thread. Those discussions are about as productive as arguing about religion or abortion. But Alan Jackson is a significan upgrade over the past couple of years, regardless of your taste.

And to those that said Alan Jackson doesn't fit the party atmosphere, I can guarantee you that that won't be an issue.

You could throw a clown on stage and it'd still be a wild party.

"Nashville pop" sucks.

The best kind of country music wouldn't come anywhere near airwaves anymore, 'cept on the Opry.

I agree about most of the shite that comes out on the radio today, but then again I don't think John Moreland, Sturgill Simpson, or Ryan Bingham would exactly fit the stage. An act like Alan Jackson is the best possibility for Rodeo.

Eric Church puts on a hell of a show, and does have a few songs that are legitimately good.

This is one of his more (most?) well known songs...

As a student in the 90's I went to an Alan Jackson concert in the old Auburn Arena.

It was fun.
