Whatever it takes in order to make Bert bitch and moan the rest of the season.

I'd do the opposite. Just run the play clock to 1 second every time.

I don't have an answer, but a question. Is Monty Adams staying at DE? Why would we not want him inside going forward?

Got it... he sure is slow as molasses off of that edge.

I don't really care how Gus game plans. I more interested in seeing the defense. Is this the year we finally see them turn the corner? 42-0 would be sweet!

I would throw the ball to Duke every single play & let him beat Arksnsas single handedly.

I think we will pass a lot just as a tune up game

I will never be in favor of 60% pass 40% Run offense.

1. Their DBs are just as weak as their DTs
2. To keep getting very good outside WRs like Duke is and Sammie is developing into we need to sling it some to show WR recruits we can and will so we might as well put up 350-400 yards passing and 3-5 pass TDs in a game when they are easily there for the taking like they will be versus a weak Arky pass D.

Me neither. Why would we want to change what we did last year? It was demoralizing to our opponents.

Gus has called more pass plays than runs only 12 times since leaving Arkansas (2007-2013). That covers 95 games coached by Malzahn.
8 of those 12 times occurred in his first year at Tulsa.
This means from 2008-2013, Malzahn ended up calling more pass plays in a game only 5% of the time.
1 of the 12 occurred in 2008 at Tulsa.
3 of the 12 occurred in 2012 at ASU (2 of the 3 were losses).
He has never thrown more in a game while at Auburn.
Last year vs MSU was the most balanced play-calling of the year (because of our poor running game that night) @ 51% run.
The next closest was @ LSU (61% run).
I do think we'll be more balanced this year. Probably close to about 58-63% run instead of the 72% of last year.
And for anyone who cares, here is the breakdown of Gus' run percentage by school.
Tulsa (07-08): 56%
Auburn (09-11): 64%
ASU (2012): 57%
Auburn (2013): 72%
Career Average: 62%
I'm excluding Arkansas because cfbstats only goes back to 2007 (easy to copy paste their tables), and the whole Nutt controversy.

I was only talking about 1 game given how pathetically weak Arky's DBs are, not the whole season. For the season I want 50-55% run.

Ellitor I assume you omitted sacks on accident from your above post?

Screw balanced. Our running game is pretty much unstoppable and will remain that way for a while I see him adding a few wrinkles but he will keep running it at least 60% of the time
Running games work

Whatever makes it a 28+ point win.
