UMASS - W
@ California - likely W
Samford - W
@ Texas A&M - likely L
Georgia - L
BYE
@ LSU - L
Ole Miss - likely W
Mississippi State - likely W
@ Vanderbilt - W
@ Arkansas - tossup
New Mexico State - W
Alabama - L

4 Ws the cupcakes and Vandy
3 Ls vs the Rivals (Georgia, @ LSU, alabama)
3 likely Ws @ Cal, Ole Miss, Mississippi State
Tossup @ Arkansas
Likely Loss @ A&M

It looks like the ceiling is 8-4 with the floor being 6-6. It's nice to draw Vanderbilt in year 1 with Freeze.

There is no telling what will happen with the schedule at this point in time. QB play will be a huge factor. Hopefully we can bring in a QB or our coaches can coach up one we already have.

First time since 2012 we’ve been to Nashville… 2008 and 12 both sucked.

Seems like we only get Vandy when we suck

I think they'll be a lot better with those freshman now turning into sophomores.

But Auburn isn’t going to be better with a major coaching upgrade, Oline upgrade, our young guys getting better?

All is true but rarely does a new OL learn to play together quickly, even if transfers or JUCO.

Provided we beat Cal and don't drop something stupid, the season probably comes down to the A&M, Ole Miss, and Arkansas games. Can you go 2 out of 3? If so, 8-4, and it's almost like the last two years never even happened.

I kid.

Sortof.

Id be careful writing this one down as a win. Longs ways to go against a team we have never faced and with a totally new program.

Wont be a cake walk

I know less than nothing about Cal, but it is the second game of the season, too.

In any case, Cal, A&M, OM, and Arky pretty much define what the season is and isn't. We split those and win a bowl, season looks pretty good.

Yes, but the Oline has been straight trash. So bringing in top portal and JUCO guys gives me pretty good confidence that they’ll be better than the disaster we’ve watched for the past 4-5 years.

What sucks is that’s a schedule that can send us to the SECCG.

Only two difficult road games and I’m not sold A&M will be all that great. Also, a bye week before LSU. Vandy our East opponent.

If Harsin was worth a shite, we’d be in the middle of his program rebuild with Georgia and Bama at home.

Edit -

To reiterate how favorable this schedule is, here’s 2021:

Akron
Alabama St
@Penn St
Georgia St
@LSU
Georgia
@Arkansas
BYE
Ole Miss
@A&M
Miss St
@South Carolina
Alabama

Tough OOC matchup. Three week stretch of @LSU, Georgia, and @Arkansas. 2/5 games away @A&M and @South Carolina. Bama at the end. Even with a good team, I’d say the schedule would be tough to run the table.

2023? Much more forgiving.

I do think we'll be improved but not drastically. A&M on the road will be a tough game to win.

LSU took it on the chin in College Station not too long ago.

I see possible wins against:
UMass
Cal
Samford
NMSU
Miss State
Vandy
Arkansas
Texas A&M
Ole Miss

Losses:
thUGA
LSU
Alabama (we're at JHS though, so )

I can see 6-6 all the way to 9-3/10-2. Our schedule is pretty awesome, I can't lie

Vandy, and Nashville, better be prepared to be Freeze'd. We're not losing again up there.
