I believe that's showing the locker room ungraded underneath the seats.

Ok.. based on the overhead view. I get the blue area is the renovated and added part. But the blue area that runs the length of the south endzone...

...what will that be? Where does it fit within the endzone seating? It looks like seats would have to come out if the blue area is part of new facility...

I don't think so, if it goes in with what they have shown they want to do with the rest of the stadium. Only issue I have is with that brick color. A color like Green Bay has would look much better. That brick looks like Tennessee's stadium and it looks terrible IMO.

It's a start I guess, not what we were shown a year ago, but it's a start. If they're moving the lockers from the proposed north to the south, then it seems like the north end zone plans are suspended indefinitely. At $28 mil this is roughly $636 sqft.

Also, the gray slick paneling, what's up with this? Maybe navy blue or something?

The gray matches the ugly gray of the Jaytron 2000. Would have preferred AU blue.

The north end zone was going to be too expensive and the BOT could not see it. I think they put up a new score board on that side and call it a day.

I also pray that they use the same color brick that is currently used at the stadium.

ETA: It will sit to the right of the score board in this picture. Stadium from the inside will not be symmetrical.

I can say it isn't dead. What they finally decide to do I have no idea, but the project is still being worked towards. I think not re-locating the locker room is a good idea, so maybe that will help with the north endzone plans.

I wouldn't call it bizarre. What if they already have the general idea on what the overall stadium renovation will look like, so they can go ahead and move forward with this one area that is by itself, can be done fairly quickly, and is an immediate impact to recruiting? Makes perfect sense to me.

It may be a totally seamless step in a larger plan, but we just don't really know.

I just don't want us to end up having a little abscess we now have to build around or makeover because it wasn't part of the overall scheme to renovate the exterior. An example might be the gray and white paneling around the video board (I know I sound obsessed about this). I don't think that will be there long term, and that it looks like a short/mid term solution because it probably is one.

And why does everything have to be blue and orange?

The area is so large, painting it blue or even orange would look tacky to me. We have color throughout the stadium. Maybe it needs a little tinting with some splash or simple lines of blue or orange to accent the large gray areas. But it looks good to me at night with the AU lit up...

It's below the seats. Won't effect the endzone seats

Well it's going to bounce the opposing fans' noise off of it. It's going to bug me and look silly not having another press box on the other side of the jumbotron to balance it out.

if we took all the money we have spent with architects drawing all this shite up that never sees the light of day we could have probably built half of it by now. this is the kinda crap that drives me crazy with JJ. wait 3 weeks and this plan will be scrapped and another in its place. when we finally build something it will be a completely different plan and not fit aesthetically with the surrounding construction. within a short time they will decide to change something and waste a bunch more $ tearing shite down to fix it because they dont know how to make a fricking long term plan and enact the motherfricker. just like those stupid gd panels on the back of the video board. wonder how much cash got wasted on that stupid shite alone.

I definitely don't think it should be orange. I want it to be entirely unnoticeable, and currently, it isn't. It looks like someone started building a greige cottage at the top of the stadium.

I would hope the eventual ambition is to brick it, but maybe not.

Pro JJ-Hater Tip: Never waste an opportunity to whine and bitch. If you are not given that opportunity, invent one.

You're welcome.
