AU up 3-1
Will Cannon comes in to close it out for a win.
Gives up 2 singles.
My stomach hurts watching this.
Now gives up a double to right field.
Tie ball game.
Pitching change, Carlson comes in.
St squares for a bunt, pulls back but runner gets caught trying to get back to 2nd.
Carlson gets ground out for #2.
Fly out ends the damage.
Headed to extras.

Nothing doing for AU in the 8th
Herberholz comes in for the bottom half. Don’t see this going well.

Ground ball to Hernandez looks really runner back and gets out
Intentional walk
Come backer to Herberholz, runner breaks for home, gets in run down and there are 2 outs.
Hit down the line at 3rd. Run scores, game over, ughhh.

It’s tough cause you’re bringing in Cannon for the S and he quickly gives up a lead. He was so solid last yr, just don’t get it

Honest question but does this season piss off the AD enough to get Butch Thompson replaced. He demanded $ for facility upgrades and the university came through. I lean towards no because I’m not really sure who out there we’d replace him with, but this season is total shite show.

I love Butch. I think he is a great coach and a great representative of AU. I'm hoping this season is an anomaly and he will get it headed in the right direction soon. He clearly has some work to do roster-wise though.

Butch is fine. Look at LSU they won it all last year and are struggling this year to win SEC games.

Did not get to watch but Watts turned in a very respectable 5.2 innings with 9 K’s. Only gave up 3 hits but two were solo shots. Armstrong struggled giving up 4 hits and 3 runs in 1 inning of work. Bats were ice cold, 2 hits on the night is miserable.
