That's what I imagine as well. Wish him luck because I do think he's a good kid but should have switched to WR much earlier in his collegiate career

So is camp like...over? No more updates since a starter at QB has been named?
Consistency, fellas...I need more.

Practices are closed to media from here on out. Only stuff coming out now are from the always lively press conferences & "sources"

Yep. So just like Gus Malzahn, we will have to wait until the season starts to figure our team out.

You mean we'll have to wait until game 4...

Haven't seen this posted yet.
I didn't catch the source but someone maybe Kodi said Ryan Davis had the best hands on the team. The quote was "He's caught everything we've thrown him"
Per Jamel Dean Darius Slayton is the hardest wr to guard because of his speed and route running.
That you hold you over Lawson

Auburn’s defensive backs in good hands with veteran coach Greg Brown (SECCountry)
quote:
AUBURN, Ala. — Much like the rest of Gus Malzahn’s team, Auburn’s defensive backs have been focused on football throughout preseason camp, but in a slightly more literal sense.
“Really, that’s the main thing we’ve been focused on,” sophomore defensive back Jamel Dean said. “The ball, the ball, the ball. That’s all we’re thinking about.”
That’s a good sign for a unit still familiarizing itself with new secondary coach Greg Brown, who boasts nearly four decades of experience at the college and NFL levels. Brown likes what he’s seen thus far.
“We’ve got a hungry group,” Brown said. “We feel like we’ve got things to prove. I think the guys are putting in the time and effort, both in the classroom and on their own after the classroom, and certainly on the field. Right now it’s going to be all about can our guys jell and come together and be a unit that represents Auburn.”
One of the most important aspect of the group’s chemistry is the dynamic between Brown and his players. And though he’s different than former position coach Wesley McGriff, he’s won over his group.
“Man, he’s smart,” sophomore Jeremiah Dinson said. “He’s laid back but knows it all. He’s a guy that has so much knowledge and I just try to soak it in every day from him. He’s been doing a good job with us every day and I’m glad to have him.”
Brown is also helping his players look at things in unique ways, like closely examining what exactly an opposing offense is trying to do.
“That’s really important,” Dinson said. “He tells us to see what type of routes the offense is doing. Every time with me he’s asking what route is this, what route is that. I’ve never kinda looked at the offense that way. That knowledge we soak in every day, I love it.”
That’s been especially advantageous for a unit out to cause more turnovers in 2017. The players are battling for a turnover of the day award in the form of a recliner in the back of the defensive meeting room.
The expectation and hope to snag more interceptions and cause more fumbles isn’t going anywhere this season — for Auburn’s defensive backs or the staff. Brown is putting the importance of technique and fundamentals in the spotlight, too. The Tigers believe that could produce results in the coming months.
“He always emphasizes with us just to never give up, continue,” senior safety Stephen Roberts said. “We’ll be out there tired sometimes, but you have to fight through when you’re tired and that’s when your technique has to kick in.”

It's kinda horrifying to me that route recognition is such a foreign concept to our DBs.

Maybe it's just him and not everyone.

Kind of shocked we haven't got news hyping up Jason Smith this year. He seems to be a favorite on here.
