I think we swing CJ Avery. I just have feelz.
Carlito Gonzalez, from Stephenson HS will be a player for us in the secondary.
We need another CB, and another Safety IMO, to go with Avery, and Gonzalez.

I hope we take 3 more at LB.
Britt, Taylor, and I want the Wilder kid from Miami. He is capable of playing all over. He plays sideline to sideline. Always around the ball.

He is comparable to Roberts IMO. Probably a Safety, but capable of depth at CB. Just because of his ball skills, and knowledge of the game overall.
And by Safety, that includes Nickel.

Calvin Ashley LT #71
He's going against a pretty small kid, dominating without effort
Fake Keef being fake

Met KN @ Halftime and talked for about 20 min. Good dude.
Calvin doing well in pass pro. Could get a little lower but his stance and footwork improved since last year for sure. Like all HS kids needs to work on downfield blocking and lateral agility. Has the LT frame and room to add good weight.

Didn't see any recap of KN's recruiting insider from Friday, so here ya go
- Sounds like 4* LB Kenney Britt is going to commit soon. It's an AU/UGA battle with KN thinking AU holds the edge right now but it will be a fight to the finish
- KN says that 4* Tyler Taylor & 3* Monty Rice would be the next likely for AU. Says Rice is an UGA lean right now but thinks AU might pick up the heat soon & could push ahead
- AU still believe Ashley is 100% committed
- Hokies the team to beat for 4* S Devon Hunter but KN thinks AU is running #2 right now. Hunter should officially visit us as well
- Sounds like we have moved on from JUCO 3* OT D'Marcus Hayes. 4* JUCO OG Jordan Agasiva is now the top target & has us as leader. We are monitoring other JUCO options as well. Could be done with OL if Agasiva commits
- 4* DT Aubrey Solomon looks like a very long shot for AU. We have moved on to other targets. Tigers feel good about 4* DE Ryan Johnson & we are trending up 4* DE Markaviest Bryant
- Also interesting note is KN says "Auburn — and defensive line coach Rodney Garner — are working a clandestine operation at this point" whatever that means. Don't be surprised if some new names pop up or a guy that we haven't heard much about emerges in the coming months
Sorry the for absence in recruiting news. Just had a daughter so life has been a bit busy for stalking 17 yr old decisions. But should get back to keeping this thread moving again now

KN did an in depth article on Ashley. The gist of it is as of now AU still feels very good about their standing but Maryland is a threat. His parent have moved up to DC & they all seem to like the area. He has also visited them a few times.
The good news is he speaks daily with an AU coach, loves way we have played up front & has been an active recruiter for the Tigers. He has been going after Tre McKitty hard. Other good signs is Herb Hand played for his HS coach in college so they are good friends. Bad news is he won't be attending any AU games this season which sucks....
Bottom line we are going to have to recruit him all the way to NSD but as of now we seem to be ok. Need to keep an eye on Maryland for sure though and to a lesser extend Florida but if NSD was today he would easily be a Tiger. Personally I think our dominance up front recently has really helped us out because in the early parts of the season it felt like he might have been wavering. Winning always helps

Good article breaking down Britt's recruitment & AU's LB recruiting moving forward
quote:
Well, honestly, everyone feels somewhat positive about where they stand for Britt. Auburn, especially, has confidence that Britt will land with the Tigers. Britt has been a regular attendee of Auburn games this season, though all visits were unofficial. Other Auburn commits refer to Britt as the “life of the party,” and many of them have mentioned how badly they want Britt to join the 2017 Tigers class.
Also of note: Britt and Auburn commit Tadarian Moultry have a tight bond. Both have fun, extroverted personalities in their own way. Moultry regularly mentions Britt or asks to get his picture taken with Britt during pregame festivities at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The two have long said they’d like to come as a package deal. Let’s face it, Moultry isn’t going anywhere. So, for that to happen, Britt would need to pick Auburn on Monday.

With Britt looking like he's going to commit today and others on board do we still make a push for Ignont with UT seemingly going up in flames or do we rate the other guys just as high to where it's not worth the headache?
Do we still have any contact at all with Benton or has that ship totally sailed?

We stopped recruiting Ignont months ago. Nothing will change with him.
