I think that was a typo. They listed 6 starting OL including him.
They had JJ running with the ones,White with the twos and JF with the threes

interesting thought from a high school HC that apparently knows Gus and his offense..... (flea'd from Rivals)
He thinks that losing JR will be a blessing in disguise. With JR there, Gus would just fall in line with a pound it out game. Simple and easy to defense. Without him, he feels that Gus will have to go back to his roots, open up the offense, be much more multiple, waaay faster with less substitutions, much more pre-snap movement, more trickeration, more imagination. In other words get back to what made Gus, Gus. Every year his offense has de-volved into a simpler form. He needs to get back to his original offense, and be the innovator he once was. This should force his hand. I happen to agree. We'll see if that happens.

I know the wins and losses didn't show it in 2009, but that is what I'm hoping the offense gets back to. I think the record that year was due to the jimmys and the joes not being quite good enough. If you watch the Tennessee game from 2009, that offense was a thing of beauty when it got rolling. Virginia game in 2011 is another example of how good Gus' offense can be.

Not sure it's a good sign if our coach gets dumber with more talent....

IMO what he's thinking is that (when running HUNH) we're completely sacrificing pace for play-calling and creativity. That I would agree with.

I believe you can have several plays called and ready to run when we get to move into a faster pace. Hence the funny boards on the sidelines. Also part of the HUNH is that it keeps the defense guessing and setting up before they get to look at formations so they are stuck with basic formations. Then it becomes a battle of conditioning.

That sounds great and all but if Gus didn't open it up last year and get back to his roots I doubt he will this year. He will try and recreate 13 with jf3 this year regardless of who the tailback is.
