Didn't Monty Adams make a giant leap like that too? Don't think it was 3* to top 50 big but I think it was like unranked 4* to top 30

I don't think Brown is anything more than a long shot. I imagine Antwuan Jackson & Mikhail Carter or someone like Carter are two DTs plus Davidson

Recruting is a fluid situation.

I mean there is still time to put together a really good class but it's crazy how awesome this class could have been.

Still if we can lock up Jackson, Clayton, Davidson, and one other solid DT and Craig to go along with Stove we will have done really well. Those are going to be positions of major need next year. Bolles too.

Does the extra attention for these two 3* LBs Davis and Jackson's teammate mean we don't feel good about any of the elite LB prospects we were after? I know they are all kind of long shots anyway. Hopefully we can at least pull Lamar.

This was expected for quite awhile. Recruiting sites were always big on him.

Whether our staff is being dumb or not, from the beginning we never seemed to have put the "full court press" on him though

Ellitor, I could be way off on this, but do you think if we get Woody are we out on JP?

I think it is always better to follow up with a JP after getting a Woody, but that should be a personal choice.

He was a 3*. The NR means he was not in the top 250.

Haven't seen us recruit an LB teammate of Davis. As for Jackson's teammate Bosse, the staff is very high on him & he is a take. Now as to whether it's a result of not feeling good about LB targets is tough to answer. Keith won't post info like that b/c he's a player's reporter & won't post that type of info. BMatt & JLee will but have yet to say anything on the matter.

JMO but I think AU has at least evened things up w/ Clemson for Lamar.

No. He has said he is open to being in a 2 QB class. He will visit UNC, Louisville, % Va. Tech again before he commits so that shows there is likely some truth to his words.

W/ that said, based on info from 247 & his own quotes I think he picks Bama for Bama & not cuz we are getting a QB Wednesday.

I pray that he goes to Bama and is their only QB in the class. As shitty as they are at developing QBs, this dude is in need of MAJOR development. He'll never amount to a thing over there.

Had a great talk with my family this morning about colleges. That I will de-commit from Auburn. And that I will not take no interviews.

ETA: which is funny considering he posted this @ BCW

That is absurd. You are usually more objective than that. Sims went from a position to position journeyman to a top SEC qb last year. That is quite impressive. It's not like Pass will be starting anytime soon anyway. They signed their qb for the future last year.
