Kennion, the lowest rated DL in the recruiting rankings, is probably getting the most praise this preseason... definitely more than the other two more highly rated DEs.

That is more a product of the role Kennion will play in the future than the other two.

Kennion is one of the only guys left who can be a speed rusher which we are weak at, especially without Lawson.

Thornton was injured I believe and Williams is a SDE not a pass rusher who EJ said may even move to DT.

Yup Thorton is hurt and Ellis has praised Andrew Williams. He said Williams is good enough to play this year but he doesn't want to use him unless we have to.

Mack Wilson says he talks to Shaun Dion Halmilton every week. Says he grew up a bama fand and his whole family are bama fans.

Darrel Williams to bama picking up steam on the message boards. People in Hoover who know him well says he wants to end up at Bama. Obviously it's up to bama if they have a spot left for him.

Hopefully they sign Josh McMillon and finish at LB but Ledbetter just flipped to UGA opening up another spot.

Explain how Randy's list is not elite?

Has nothing to do with this current recruiting class.

Previpu recruiting classes Garner has brought in are elite so you are talking crazy. In his only two classes he has 3top 100 players in one and 2top 100 playets in the pther combined with a solid sleeper and top Juco DE

Makes no sense

If he's good enough to play, play him. You run the risk of only having him on the field for 2 yrs if he's redshirted.

Ellis said he's good, but is he better than Elijah, Gabe, Bradley, Angelo, or Whit? I doubt it. We're loaded on Dline this year and won't need it. I think that's more or less what EJ was saying.

It would be like burning Sean Whites redshirt when we have NM and JJ

He thinks Williams is going to evolve into an Egaue/Wright role of DE/DT tweener. That takes a lot of practice to learn new technique and probably a RS year to build the strength to do that.

He said Williams isn't evolved from a technique perspective

Coming from such a small school, Williams will benefit more from a redshirt than he might from limited playing time in mop up duty.... there's a significant learning curve he needs to overcome.

He said a little while back he was going to quit posting to get his personal life in order. That day may have come.

He just said his workload is getting bigger and the time it takes to post and keep ip is interfering. He is not one to do things half assed so he decided to take a break

That's why I don't provide recruiting info anymore. It gets time consuming

I really had a feeling this would be the case. He will be a freak IMO. RS-ing he and Thornton may turn into a blessing down the road if we can still squeeze 3 seasons out of them.
