We pay S4 million for that? Didn't even realized it was that bad until today. One of those was the long TD pass, so we were really 1 of 13 (one 3rd down was the halftime kneel.)

That is 7% conversion rate. Maybe we should do more than throw it deep on 3rd down. Would be nice.

Why stop there?... Include the whole staff and athletic department... auburn network and concession stand workers.

This is what happens when a play caller constantly puts his Freshman QB in 3rd and long situations.

we were leading the SEC in third down conversions iirc. maybe that was before the Arkansas game, but still.

This was the first game that we completely sucked on third down.

We're currently 47th nationally in 3rd down conversion %.

45/107 42.1%

So take out our 2 of 15 from last game and we're 43/92 which is 46.7%. That would put us at T-14th nationally.

So I don't think 3rd down's been a problem besides the Ole Miss game

Well if we would catch the damn ball & consistently hold our blocks longer than a few seconds this number would be much better. I understand everyone frustrations but this isn't just poor playcalling. Guys have to start making plays & executing better. Our OL got eaten up inside. Not sure how many times on 3rd & short Saturday some OM defender was flying through with a free shot on RB. Our WRs for the most part are not winning 1 on 1 battles & then when they are open in crucial situations are literally dropping the ball

I think White is still learning how to find the open receivers in the red zone.

Saturday, his knee problems and brace contributed to his very high throws that were either not catch-able (4th down and 2), or hard to keep in bounds (red zone catch near goal, but was Incomplete because White threw it too high again).

Our 3rd down efficiency was very good because of Barber and some of White. Ole Miss is a good D, so execution was critical.
