Here are some categories you have to include;

Best pickled eggs (could divide into red or clear)

Tastiest pickled pigs feet to accompany that cold beer

Definitely a good option. I'd also throw The Garage in the ring as far as just a simple sammich goes. That's why this one is so difficult. There are so many things that classify as a sammich. T-Bones and Salem's diner both have really, I mean really good Philly's. Are those sammiches?

Best Bar- Paramount?

Possibly. Definitely one of the most unique with the arcade bar. So much fun.

No. I can't stand that place.

Best locations to watch the Auburn game.
Best Cool/off beaten path place to discover that most don't know about
Best Beer/Brewery
Best Place for a Date (in lieu of Strip Club to keep things family oriented?)

Here's a preliminary list of categories based off your suggestions.

We'll use the up/down vote idea to tally votes. I'll tally votes bi-weekly which will leave time for discussions and maybe even give people a chance to try suggested restaurants/places before making a vote. I'll update thread title w/ Pg # so you'll know where to go for a new category.

There's about 16 weeks worth of categories listed which would take us right up to SEC Media Days leading into fall camp so that would be the cut off point.

You guys keep making suggestions and we'll kick off Friday with Burgers as the first category

Not sure. Paramount is definitely up there, easily top 3 for me. The Collins Bar and Carrigan's Pub are both really good too. 41st st. in Avondale is great too for getting away from the normal crowd.

Gun to my head, I'd probably say Paramount. overall good selection of alcohol, really good food (those wings ), and Galaga.

Birmingham needs a good whiskey bar and I'll be set. I'd never leave.

I think it's Innisfree, but didn't think I would get anyone to agree with that.

Also, is anyone else in the Bham area sad that Above Bar is just gone? That place was a blast. Not really the best bar ever, but always a good time being on top of the Redmont Hotel. Always seemed to be an wedding after party there with bridesmaids. Oh the bridesmaids.

They have that dram whiskey bar in Mtn Brook but it's pretty expensive.

Paramount is cool just far for me. Carrigans is cool but no TVs but makes up for it with the food

Yea, Dram in Mtn brook. The food there is really good, but as a whiskey bar, it sucks. They have a great "menu" but rarely carry half the items on it. They teased me for so long saying they were going to start carrying Elmer T. Lee because it was on the menu, but never did. I will never forgive them.

Paramount's location is fun, but also sucks as far as parking and stuff goes. If it was in Soho somewhere, like replace Jackson's with it, it would do so much business.

It's hopping a lot, especially with easy women.
