So what’s the plan here? Some here thought he’d never be traded.

Run the wildcat hopefully since there aren't any quarterbacks worth a shite in the upcoming draft.

Pitts could be fun at QB. Can he throw? frick it, doesn't matter, the line doesn't block for more than 2 seconds anyways.

The Falcons won't be functional until Arthur Blank sells the franchise.

Blank's ineptitude is about to go national, and I love it! It needs to be made a national issue so that Blank is forced to sell the team.

ARTHUR NEEDS TO GO!ARTHUR NEEDS TO GO! ARTHUR NEEDS TO GO!

Downvote away, but it's the truth

Well between the shite show that is likely to happen at Auburn football 2022, and Falcons football 2022, I might just quarantine myself from that sport next fall all together. FML.

I dunno. This year wasn't going to see more than 7 wins tops anyway. This gives Matt Ryan a chance to finish his career with a playoff push. It allows us to start fresh as well albeit the cap hit sucked. It was gonna suck regardless though.

We have to grin and bear the next season or 2. Just hope we can find a gem at QB somewhere in the next 2 drafts.

Dudes part of the big committes and been sucking up to the league forever. He’s not going anywhere. He’s also a big democrat which is almost like enshrinement for these idiots.

In terms of fricking over Uncle Artie, it's:

Vick
Shanahan/Bro
Deshaun
Petrino

Yeah I don’t see Blank giving up control… he’s on the sidelines and views himself as Jerry Jones.

But Blank’s contract management has been piss poor. He rewarded our 2016 with big contracts, only to see them get old and traded away, and leaving us a dumpster fire for the next few years.

Does this mean I have to root for Felipe Franks again?

This.

I love Matt Ryan, but this franchise never recovered from 28-3. Firing Quinn was the first step and this is the final step towards cleansing that stank.

Hopefully with some good FO moves and solid coaching in a few years we can have another shot at a winner.

Not to mention, our cap hits suck this season but we’re *currently* projected to have the #1 cap space for next season.
This was going to be a down year with or without Matt Ryan. Maybe jumping ship was the ripping of the bandaid we all needed, including the best for Matt Ryan?!?!

Kinda fricked up that a franchise QB who has been 100% professional is only worth a 3rd rounder but a guy with 22 accusations of sexual assault is worth 3 1st rounders.

Fotenot came out earlier this week and said that they could've opened up the Ryan trade to more teams and gotten more. However, they wanted to send Ryan where he wanted to go, a virtual playoff team, and with a good OLine. The Colts make perfect sense for him and I think ATL was trying to do right by trading him there.

Absolutely

After the Watson thing blew up in their face they had no choice. I think Blank would have taken this hit for Matt even if the Watson thing doesn't happen, but it sure sped up the process.
