And if you don't think this team is worse this year, you haven't watched them play much. They damn near lost to Brooklyn at home tonight.

You mean the same nets who beat the Grizzlies by 13 on Monday. If you knew the NBA as well as you think you do, you would know that any team can win on a given night in the NBA.

And they damn near beat the Cavs last Friday, smashed the Celtics in Boston a few days earlier (with Howard owning Horford head to head), and beat the Rockets in early Feb, but those games go against your agenda, so act as if they didnt happen.

Anyways, the difference between the 2016 and 2017 teams isnt as large as you make it out to be, which is proven by the wins and losses you conveniently ignored. Whatever small decline there has been up until now isnt because of the Horford/Howard swap in the front.

That and Cleveland hitting 46 threes in games 2-3 combined. There's never been a two game shooting stretch like that before in league history. When a team that good is shooting that well, there isn't a whole lot you can do about it.

As we saw again on Friday, but Branch missed that game.

we're falling further and further back in the East every day

With the win over the Raptors last night, the Hawks are now 36-29, which was the same exact record when we lost to the Raptors on the same night last year.

Same exact record at 65 games for those counting at home. Also had the same exact record at 40 games. As you can see, the major changes on our roster haven't exactly made things as bad as branch wants everyone to believe.

With that said, I doubt we will match the 48 wins of last year.

What do you think branch is waiting for to return to his thread? Let me guess, a loss to the spurs? Well, I doubt we beat them again. Does branch even know we beat them on 1-1?

Dude, it's Atlanta sports. If youre expecting perrinial winners or a dominant franchise it's not happening. What we get with the Hawks or Falcons is better than the norm so just appreciate the fact that they aren't basement dwelling like the Braves at the moment.

I do the OT and a few other boards...I linger back this way every now and then to catch up on news concerning UGA...this place gets downright terrible sometimes in off season.

The hawks werent going to win it all if they still had Teague, Horford, and Carroll, so a change was necessary.

Schroeder is young, and exciting. Will he end up better than Teague? Not sure, but he has a higher ceiling, so I dont see why you dont make that trade.

Carroll is good at what he does, but Baze and Thabo more than make up for what he gave us.

Horford? Hell no to giving a 30, almost 31, year old a 30 mil contract for multiple years. Howard is a better fit next to Millsap, and we are only on the hook for 3 years and $23 mil a year. Thats a great deal in today's market.

Its going to take a superstar to get this team anywhere, and unless we draft one, we arent getting one. Thats just how it is. I like the fact that we are tinkering with the roster, trying new things to see if we get better. If it doesnt work out? Who cares, because we are stuck in no mans land either way.

My only complaint is our drafting. I dont think Prince and Bembry are impact players at all. Hated both of those picks, and other than Schroeder, we have nothing of substance in the past 5 years of drafting.

At least prince showed a flash the other night and hardaway jr was essentially traded for a 2015 pick, Which has turned out to be genius.

There's rumors that we arent looking to resign Hardaway, which would be stupid depending on what he wants. If we let him go, Ill look at that trade badly.

Yes. We must resign him. He should be our future with Dennis.
