Honorable mentions: the Southern Cal losses in 2005 and 2006 and the Miami loss in 1987 were embarrassing to the point of maybe I'd be better off getting my heart ripped out of my chest by that voodoo torturer in Indiana Jones and sending me down in that cage into the fire pit. Some Texas losses when I was really young, and the SMU loss where we got hosed by the refs, early 80's.

Top 3 worst:

- 1988 dropped interception by Steve Atwater v Miami
- losing to UCLA basketball in the finals in 1995
- Oregon State foul ball drop

2011 Sugar Bowl for me, was there in person

2015 “loss” to North Carolina in basketball still stings, refs protection of the #1 seed

The pop fly was devastating

Foul ball is #1 by a mile. That's literally a national championship gone because of cluster fuk on a routine pop up.

Tennessee is bad, but Reggie Fish is in the f-ing SEC title game, which would have been won if not for the mistake.

By impact, it has to be:

Omaha

Fish

These right here.

Though it was impossible to know at the time #4 was the hiring of Jeff Long.

Somewhere in the Top 10 would be Curles' personal foul call against Malcolm Sheppard against Florida. That man deserves pain and suffering in some form.

I think I've told y'all this story before.

I had an 11 hour flight for Game 2 of the OSU series. I'm listening to the radio on my phone. We were up and going into the 9th as we were boarding. They annouced that WiFi wouldn't be available for the flight (first and only United flight I haven't had WiFi on).

We start to taxi and I heard the Madrigal out.

2 outs.

The plane starts to take off and the last thing I hear is "Grenier pops up along the first [garble].. looks playable in foul terr [garble garble]... "...

...

...

I spent 11 hours in air thinking we had just won a national championship.

It was nuts watching all of Twitter become Arkansas fans during that game.

1. Stoernover
2. Sugar Bowl. Such a fun week that ended in dissapointment.
3. Foul ball Oregon St.
4. UNC game NCAA, that really upset me big time. I have vivid memories of sweet 16's from my childhood. We had that game, and we(with help from the refs) let it slip away.

In addition that UNC game was a chance for us to break the curse that had been looming over our program for 20 years. It felt like it was coming to a head and we were going to break through.
