Yep.

You will have a good time in Little Rock if you want to. Plenty to do. Good food. Historic old stadium, not as shiny and pretty as the jewel of Oz, but has a soul, not a bad seat in it - everybody feels like they are part of the game. It will be rocking and quite loud as it usually is when a quality team comes in (as opposed to Samford and such.) Plenty of room for tailgating.

If you are into such things, the Clinton Presidential Library is there.

There are reserved spots, but they are for the season and aren't offered on a per game basis

Here's a little information on game day parking/tailgating.

If you prefer the atmosphere of a sports bar I would recommend The Tavern They're wings are amazing and the rest of their food is far better than you would expect from a sports bar. It's also in one of the more upscale areas of Little Rock.

There have already been great places to eat listed, but I'll add for steak I'm a big fan of Riverfront Steakhouse.

Like any city of size, Little Rock does have it's lower income, higher crime area's. You shouldn't have any problems though, unless you just go looking for it. Stay north of I-630 and you should be fine.
Little Rock does have more ethnic diversity than NWA, due to it being the center of commerce and government.

Downtown LR is actually kinda cool for a small southern city. I'd hang out there if I were you.

Its not as shitty as Jackson, for example. Clinton Library, River Market, riverfront park, etc.

I haven't been to LR in at least 6 years though, so take my advice with that in mind.

I went to the game in 2009 and had a blast. Fayetteville blew me away compared to what I was expecting. Much nicer town than I was expecting

I hear this a lot from SEC fans.

Fayetteville gets underrated because most people never bother to come here. Its a better college town than any SEC town not named Athens.

I've lived in Little Rock before and it's like a lot of places, it's what you make of it. Look at Bear's post, he hits the nail on the head.

Personally, I like staying in the Capitol hotel. It's very nice, fun location and it's bar is excellent.

Go Hogs!

you absolutely must go down Asher and University about 2am in the morning. No other place is as happening in our fine capital city!

Eat at Big Mamas Burgers...

Tour the glorious trailer park that is the Clinton Library!

Make sure to go to University Mall, Place is happening.

Eat breakfast at the Waffle House on University and stay at the University Inn, Very clean!

The folks at WMS for games are the elite crowd, much like the tea sippers of Texas... Hope this helps@!

Stay in the Rivermarket - easy access to bars and restaurants (although aside from Ashley's, CBG and Sonny William's, the restaurants in the RM aren't the best in town). And the Peabody is now a Marriott. There's probably 6-7 hotels in downtown now.

The Root Cafe on South Main street (easy drive from the RM) has the best breakfasts in town.

There is one hotel directly across the street from the stadium - Markham House Inn, I think. It was nice when my bridesmaids stayed there, but that was almost 9 years ago. They cater a lot to the patients and families of the nearby hospitals, so I think they've maintained it. You're a short drive to Hillcrest/Heights, as well as the aforementioned Big Orange Midtown. Less touristy option, but you'd probably have to book it far in advance.

LR Essentials:

Stay here

Go here

Eat here

If you have extra time, take a stroll down 12th street (preferably with lots of cash and at night).
That's all you need to know.

Minimum of 3, 3 dudes aged 27/28.
Maximum 5, those 3 plus 2 of their wives.

All we need is 1 restaurant, we'll only be dining Friday night. And none of us GAF how nice it is, when we went to Oklahoma in 09 for the OSU game we ate at a dang applebees.

Okay.

I'd advise staying downtown on the River Market area. Book rooms early. It's Little Rock, which means a lot of our students are getting rooms as well.

Aside from some obnoxious drunks you will encounter and the smallness of seats, you guys will enjoy yourselves. The golf course really can be a great time if you can manage to find nice folks, or set up your own spot.

The team will come down Markham, which is the prime tailgating spots for Hog Fans. I can't remember if the visiting team buses in that route or not.
