if i've learned anything from this coach search, it's that SunHog's sources don't know the lyrics to jingle bells.

42 years old and 68-24 as a head coach. That's about a .740 record.

hes the head coach at a major program who have legit NC aspirations year in/out. its a big time hire with serious questions about recruiting.

I never named a coach, ever. So how was my source ever wrong?

They still haven't told me and they are my friends.

I like the hire

One year he has a 3k passer with a steady dose or run, the next he has a pounding ground game.

He is t set in his philosophy and adjusts to his players on roster. Always has a very solid defense and has very physical linemen.

He has done all of that with less than spectacular recruiting classes.

Les Miles nor Nick Saban had southern ties before being hired by southern state schools.

This hire is very solid.

It is by no means a bad hire. I honestly think Long did a damn good job landing this guy.
