Asking for a friend.

quote:

Houston QB D'Eric King is considering sitting out the rest of this season, a person familiar with the process said.

King, a senior, would then be eligible to redshirt and have another year of eligibility.

King would then leave his options open, which include entering the transfer portal.

He passed for 2,982 yards and 36 touchdowns as a junior before being sidelined with a knee injury.

Against Tulane on Thursday, King set the FBS record for consecutive games with a passing or rushing touchdown with 15 to pass former Florida star Tim Tebow.

King has passed for 663 yards in the first four games under new coach Dana Holgorsen.

We need a running threat at QB in the worst way behind this OL.

I'd take Houston's coach over what we have.

We need a line. Not a QB.

Got a feeling we are about to go all K State on recruiting the Kansas JCoS for needed positions, like OL and LB.
