Campbell looks like a safe solid hire record wise.

I've warmed to Lane some, the record aint as strong as Campbell, but it's Lane... Oaklands suckage, USC with sanctions kicking in. 2 out of 3 good years with FAU.

Record wise he has improved and done ok at Memphis and VT. Memphis and VT is not apples to apples vs Toledo and ISU that Campbell has been at. Nutt 2.0? Campbell looks better.
These are the last 3 we have really heard about.
Is this the real pool or is it someone else?
I think whoever it is, Lunney needs to stay on staff and Pittman must be brought in.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go now that he has a taste for coaching in the SEC.

I told him he was my insider and asked him who it was going to be. He said they didn't call him about that kind of stuff. They only called him when they wanted a check.

the only thing some of us are hearing comes from mostly folks in the middle, family friends of coaches, bot, etc.
Kiffin has been in play from the beginning period. He is considered a risk by some of the BOT/PTB.
Campbell has been in play in the past week. His buyout is 6 million, not 7 as trey put it. Whew, that is a lot with all we have going on. Plus he will be a highly paid coach as well.
Norvell has come back around in the past 48 hours. Mostly because Florida State wasn't as interested as he thought. They spoke, his agent called us. He may still wind up there if Fl. State loses out. Norvell is an arrogant dude and probably has the right to be, but this is rubbing some folks the wrong way. People with money want a winner, but not a Whiner Winner.
Leach is now so far down the list that he will probably be the hire.
Fickell is not happening at this point. TY, TY, TY!!!!!

I think if the search stopped right this instant Kiffin would be the closest to reeling in, with Norvell kinda standing 100 yards off in the distance with his hands raised in the air as if to say "what the frick guys?"
I like Leach but he's MIA in this coaching search, which means it'll probably be him.

It's not just Hogville though. It could totally be all smoke, but then again literally everything we're "hearing" is just smoke as well.

I would be absolutely shocked if he is hired, and be behind the hire of course. But, one dude is absolutely positive we have been in serious contact with him and are after him hard with $$$$
Right now, Kiffen, Campbell, Norvell, Fuente, Leach are all being mentioned by media with Fickell being now left out. And I am hearing Kiff, Campbell, Norvell from friends, etc. This is fun, if nothing else.

We are NOT hearing smoke at this point, I can almost guarantee you that. HY doesn't play that way like Jeff Long did.
This search won't contain the usual BS names and misdirection, it's just not there. I think we're being pretty straightforward this go-round for once, at least from the things I pick up. I don't have an in with HY himself so who knows, but he definitely isn't employing intentional smokescreens.

That’s my guess as well. It just seems too obvious that we’d land one of the four names that fans have been decided upon since the job opened up. Fans are over hear talking about Kiffin and Campbell while Yurachek is over there locking up Gundy.
