Basketball, but I used the dline coaching search and could have included the current assistant search in football for emphasis to a point.

The majority of people could not tell you what an assistant coach on Mike's team does, let alone come up with a realistic list of candidates to replace each.

You want a humorous coaching search, it would be a basketball assistant coaching search. Like I said there are over 1000 D1 assistant coaches, the majority of the names you will hear won't be realistic candidates, the rest would be people with ties to the school like former players, then you will have the NBA assistants being named.

Patience being exchanged for change for the sake of change in today's society is baffling to me.

I figure MA is safe and will likely turn things around. HOWEVER, if he doesn't and is gone I will go back to my wish list from his hire.
1. Shaka Smart.... guy keeps winning and he's doing it with defense even with the new rules.
2. Bill Self...... I know... pipe dream... but still....
3. Brad Stevens.... his time with the Celtics will have run it's course by then and he will be looking to get back into "REAL" basketball.
4. ...... anyone beyond these 3 will have become a hot name in the next two years...

again... doubt this happens. Mike will be given time to put out the dumpster fire.

Top picks brad stevens, greg marshal and the VCU coach. Realistic pick UAB coach, maybe anderson will land at UAB again.

You think Michael Jordan would coach here? Probably unrealistic but who knows, we have history with him from that time we played UNC. Perhaps Jordan's fond memories of Arkansas will be enough to land him.

It's not a fan's job to know who we can hire. But a fan can watch the games, see problems, accept we won't fire the head coach, and, assuming the head coach hasn't alienated the profession, believe we can upgrade the staff.

Do you know MA? TJ?

With all the $$ in NWA, I bet we can convince samuel l jackson to be coach carter for five/six years.
