All I wanted was to make the tourney. Successful season for me. I will be bummed losing in the first round, but over it right away.

If Portis doesn't come back then we really need to make the Sweet 16 this year because a lot of things would need to go right for us to even make the tournament next year without him
Such as?

Qualls coming back.
Jacory developing a consistent 8 ft jump shot and improving his ball handling skills.
Kingsley getting stronger and further developing an offensive game.
Miles and Thompson being able to develop and contribute. I don't know much about the potential of either player, maybe someone here does.
Bell continuing to get stronger and develop on defense and work on not being one dimensional on offense.
Babb and Durham will need to improve in all areas and build on their playing time from this year. Durham is showing glimpses. Babb not getting opportunities now.
Beard continue to build on what has been an impressive freshman year, become more of a leader.
Kapita be able to completely recover and contribute as a freshman, which he will if he's healthy.
Whitt should come in and contribute as a freshman, hopefully be our guard that can break down the zone off the dribble.
Just thinking, if Portis and Qualls leave early, we've got 29 points per game returning.
That's a lot to replace.
But, let's enjoy this year and hopefully kicking lsu's arse today. Go Hogs!

We don't need all those things to happen just to make the tournament.

No, we don't need all those things to happen to make the tournament, those are just a list of possibilities.
But at least three players will need to step up their offensive game for us to make the tourney and 2 of those can be incoming freshmen.
