what about Mike leach

How would the fan base feel if he was our next hc? Personally I love the guy and he was able to win in Lubbock Texas and Pullman Washington, so I'm pretty sure he could win in fayetville. His defenses are better than most give him credit for and he seems to be able to find the guys who fit his system no matter where he goes.

While I don't think we are Ohio State or anything I do feel our job is a little to high profile for him since he seems to have personality quirks that off put boosters and things of that sort. He is best at a place like Tech or Wazzu.

I listened to to him speak to a lawyers' group a few years ago and he was impressive.
I like his offenses and think he'd field a good team but I just don't see it happening.

I would rather take a risk on an up and coming coach

Why? He wins a lot of games everywhere he's been. And who cares if he's weird or isn't a prototypical coach he wins that's all that matters

briles, leach- who's next on your list, sandusky?

Why are you comparing broke and leach? Leach is a way better human Than briles petrino or anyone from pedo state. He's just quircky. If you backup Craig James then you're the pos.

He's had somewhat the same problem at Washington State that Bielema has here. His first three years there were 3–9, 6–7, and 3–9. There's no way the fans would ever unite behind results like that. And then he went 9–4 last year and is 6–2 right now… and has lost to an FCS team both years. That's worse than Toledo any day.
The guy is just too inconsistent. We have enough of that already.

The main reason, In my wheel house is this...
His offense was wonderful, until it wasn't again. He hasn't adapted as many have. The offense will not work as it once did in NCAA football.
Defenses have caught up to it.
Ohhh, and he is a weirdo
and, Long would never hire him. He has too much baggage and PR for Long...

He clearly stills wins. I don't think he'd lose to a fcs school here with our talent and damn who cares if he's weird?! You'd rather go 7-5 with a cool bro like beilama than win 10 11 with leach. Unbelievable

I guess I don't mind too much that he likes to pretend he's a pirate. I just don't think he's any better than Bielema at the end of the day. I'm growing tired of not knowing what to expect from a bipolar team from week to week, year to year. Mike Leach will not be the aspirin for that headache.

What do you mean with our talent? We have no talent. Our entire issue is the fact that we can't recruit for shite to Arkansas for the most part. I agree that being quirky isn't an issue, he's not like an evil person or something.

did you miss this whole part...
Where has he "won" since Tech... and Kingsbury was his disciple. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
and look at who he has lost too recently... I don't see replacing CBB with him at all. Not an upward move. ANd....
He is a Weirdo, just for fun

This, too. He's mid-way through year five and still has a losing record.

His record is close to Bert's and he is playing in a down PAC12. No point in talking about replacing Bert if you want Leech.

Wazzu was in a much worse place than Arkansas when leech took over and he has a very unique system he had to implement. The talent at wazzu is still way less than the talent pulled at Arkansas.
