We've had huge holes in every team since 2006

Even Petrino's very good teams had huge holes on defense and sometimes the OL.
The 06 team lacked an above average QB and that's it.

The sugar bowl team was not as bad on defense as people claim. The secondary would give up a chunk play more often than you would like though. They had the really bad Auburn game where I think some of the points were scored off of the offense and not the D. I think with that game excluded the defense gave up around 18 points per game.

It was still a major hole. Remember how easily Alabama handled us after we were up 20-7?
