A few days before the Kentucky game, Peej picked us to beat Kentucky and LSU. The one game he didn't have a prediction was the SCar game. Coincidence? No. The Kiss of Death is very very real.

and another less significant reason is that our power forward position is grabbing less than 5 rebounds per game in SEC play, combining Williams and Harris total numbers.

I posted the other day that I didn't know much about Thompson's potential as a front line player.... but of course I do.

I know that he hasn't even been given a chance to come in and see if he can outperform the guy ahead of him who's shooting 36% from the field getting the easiest shots on the court, and 41% from the free throw line having made 12 in SEC play, while ripping down 2.3 rebounds per game in 15 minutes of play per game.

Harris might be our key to how we do in post season play. He's going to jack up a couple of crazy shots with 25 seconds on the clock, but MA just needs to leave him in. Taking him out doesn't just punish him, it punishes the team.

Rant over...sorry

I do feel better now.

Williams lack of improvement since arriving on campus is frustrating. He passes the eye test and I was really excited about his potential.

I watched him in a couple of AAU Tournaments and he dominated some pretty talented kids from time to time.

He too often seems to be on a different page than the rest of the players on the floor.

You can bet people you're watching the game with a cold beer that he will commit a stupid foul on defense after he turns the ball over or makes a bad shot.

Good point. Our 4 position is a major weakness and will probably keep us from being a sweet 16 team. I would be interested in seeing Kingsley and Portis on the court together more. It might be possible if we had a 3rd 6'9+ guy we could rely on.
