A Car Crash Leaves Two Batesville HS Football Players Dead
Batesville, Ark. -- Two Batesville High School football players die in a car crash.
In all, six teens were in the vehicle. We're told one vehicle was involved on McHue Road just south of Batesville.
According to Arkansas State Police the car was speeding when it left the roadway, went airborne and struck a tree.
It was raining at the time.
Update:
BATESVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) – Two Batesville teenagers were killed in a car accident overnight, and another four have been injured, according to Arkansas State Police (ASP).
According to the Batesville Police Department, Camden Osborne and William Olson were killed in a car accident that happened Monday night around 10:30 on the 200 block of McHue Road. Four other teens, including the driver, were reportedly injured and taken to the White River Medical Center for treatment. Their conditions are currently unknown.
All of the teens involved were apparently 15 years old, said a spokesperson for the police department.
ASP has said that the teens were in a 2014 Mustang, traveling at a high rate of speed when the car left the road and struck a tree.
Classes are not being held for the entire district for the day. A prayer vigil will be held at noon at First Methodist Church.
Prayers for their families

That is awful. Prayers for their families, friends, teammates and school.
When I was growing up in Camden back in the 70's, a similar thing happened to a car load of teens. 6 kids were killed when the station wagon they were in went off the road, got airborne and hit a tree. It really devastated the community for several weeks.

Even experienced drivers have trouble in wet conditions. My condolences to their family and friends.

Wet roads and high speed are always bad combinations. Hate it for these families, prayers sent.

So saddening when young lives are tragically ended, especially due to a lack of good judgement.
When you are young, you think you are immortal.
Prayers to the families, friends and community.

Rough deal... as a HS coach it's one of your worst nightmares.... as a parent it is your worst nightmare. Prayers for the families and the community.
