I do find it funny that we're all on here stroking our massive meatsticks last night to Chris Petersen rumors on Twitter while the UofA is actually interviewing Gundy.

Only thing I actually expect to hear that is legit some time soon is the time of a presser. After that is announced I'll bounce on any rumor thats around.

We know Gundy has interviewed with both Ark and UT.
So it sounds as if it's down to them and us.
But then that doesn't make any sense with the concrete sources saying Long got his guy/has had him for a few days.

It is coming only from UT's side that Gundy interviewed with them.
According to UT Franklin turned down a 5.5 mil/year offer from us.
According to UT they had Gruden locked up.
FWIW. UT's reporters seem to be trying to make Arkansas' coaching search look as bad as possible for some reason...
I remember a report last month of them reaching out to Gundy and being shot down...

I'm not that high on Gundy, to me he is a Petrino clone with probably even worse defenses and slightly weaker offenses.
From UT's article on Gundy:
Gundy hasn't exactly had many teams that have played tremendous defense. This season, his team allowed 426 yards a game, which would have ranked behind every team in the SEC besides Tennessee. Other units under Gundy have allowed over 450 and 440 total yards a game on average.

If he comes here he'll have an unlimited amount to go hire a great defensive staff.
He's a much better recruiter than Petrino, tbh.
