Trendy hippies in there are eating walmart food, shite the bread was even baked in the bakery.
What do they get from Wal-Mart aside from bread? Serious question

My brother lived in those Lafayette condos. It was steep, but they were pretty nice. I really don't like the Eco Flats, they're not all that great close up. At least from the outside.

Fayetteville hippies are hilarious, given that they have no idea how to be hippies

I'm saddened to report that Maxine's has been gentrified.

Those apartments were inexpensive, decently located and on a bus route in case you don't feel like driving during shitty weather.

I lived there for a couple of years during Grad School and I HIGHLY recommend them. They're probably not as upscale as what you're looking for but they're roomy and comfortable.

Hippies and hipsters are two different animals.

Fayetteville seems to have become extremely hipster, but not so hippie anymore.

I think the influx of northern burb DFW kids might be making Fayetteville more conservative, honestly.

Thanks for the link! My cousin lived in those apartments while she was in undergrad before getting married. They weren't bad at all, kinda close to the Betty Jo dumping grounds tho.

I'm pretty sure I don't want to live in the near Wedington area. My BIL's dad has a place further down Wedington in the Farmington district and I like that area out towards the Lake but I think I want to be closer to downtown. I checked out the pricing on the condos across from the office just for fun. Gutted is $585k and finished is creeping up on a million. There's some other condos around the square that are in the $700k-900k range which is ridiculous for Fayetteville, AR. There's not enough of a six figure job base to justify more than a handful of show off condos for execs.

If I ever had the kind of cash to drop a million on a condo, it'd have to be in a really kick arse part of the world where I either had a satellite office, investments to manage, or loved to travel to like Barcelona, San Diego/Newport Beach/Santa Cruz, Bahamas, Vail/Denver. I'd be more likely to buy acreage in the remotes of Colorado and start up my Piedmontese herd and sell high end beef to premium restaurants.

Back to Apartments.... I found some super cheap ones on the west side of campus but again I don't care about being close to campus even though it would make football games really convenient.

I'm not crazy about that section between 6th st. and Wedington because of the hassle of the one way access road and all of the traffic. I like to run and may start riding my bike so being close to the trails would be a plus too.

Guess I could always find 5 other cool people to rent this big arse house like they do in big cities. Find an old mansion type place all pool together resources and live in a grand place for a fraction of renting their own crummy apartment.

I actually found a 3,700 sq ft 5 BR house in Deer Path Estates renting for $1,600. With 3 other people 400/month rent would be uber-affordable and it's a sick arse house. Utilities would suck and it doesn't have a pool or hot tub.

The only thing that would appeal to me for renting a big place with a few people would be to have a high end party house with plenty of space, a great kitchen and outdoor living area.

Found a dude looking for a roomie in his condo above the Icehouse, would be fun living right down there off Dickson but I know my vehicles would get fricked with by drunk idiots.

I already got a little promotion and pay bump before finishing my first week. They added some event and promo duties for me and a chance to sell and make commission money on top of my salary, bonus, and allowances.

Could turn out to be pretty sweet. I'm glad I humbled myself to come in at the bottom and prove myself.

Raise your hand if you lived in College Park before it became the ghetto.

<--- This guy did for 15 months from June '00 to August '01. That place was crazy fun that year. It started going downhill fast in like '02 however.

In the 90s college park was the most popular place to live.
