A) Top to bottom the SEC WBB is probably the most competitive in the US
B) He is only in his second year and he is getting his girls to play competitively. Even with their record last year they were one of my favorite teams to watch because they were always hustling.
He may be like Bert, terrible records for the first few years then some nice wins down the road.

he won a ncaa tournament game with 9 scholarship players. got a top 30 player in recruiting. he might end up being tGOAT. what will he do when he has a whole roster built by him?

I have no desire to post on Tater or Free Shoes boards so I don't. Never understand why folks post on topics they profess to dislike. Maybe it is attention whoring and maybe they just like to always be the negative nancy's in a group.

Women's college basketball is a joke. The only reason it even exists is because of Title IX.

Title IX did not exist back in the 1920's but they were playing WBB back then.

That doesn't contradict my statement. The reason it still exists today is because of Title IX. It doesn't make any money and most schools would eliminate it if they could.

When I went to school there on occasion I would go to WBB games. I got to know some of them through eating at the cafeteria.
I don't know that it is a riveting story but it's about WBB so I thought I'd share.

It's still pouring here in Central Arkansas. So today while I was running on the treadmill at the gym, there Stanford vs. Texas WBB game was on the TV ahead of me. Texas was #5 and Stanford #14.
The score was 27-20 with 6 minutes left...
In the game...
At first I thought there was that little left in the first half. When I realized it was 31-22 with less than 5 minutes to go IN THE GAME I had to watch. Thought, "Maybe they're playing lights out defense..." Nope. They just couldn't hit a shot. When the girls pulled up for 3 from behind the arc, it seemed like they had to throw their entire weight in to the shot to try to get it even close to the rim.

Exactly, it's pathetic. Girls go through the motions of basketball so they can keep their scholarship. I guess it's good that they're getting an education, but let's not pretend like it's compelling television.
