How do you even have to think in that situation? You should know that if you fail to covert a third down and you’re at a certain spot in the field that you’re going to kick a FG. He just doesn’t have what’s needed between the ears. I would guess that he’s been around the game long enough that if he’s thinking clearly he can figure that out, but maybe he’s got some performance anxiety that keeps him from thinking clearly during games. Either way, it’s a mental thing and it’s disqualifying for a HC job. He has to go.

The bigger issue was not being aware of the play clock and calling a time out.
If he’s not competent to manage a game he should designate someone to do that. Anyone that has owned a PlayStation knows how to manage the game clock.

I think it's more of he was raked across the coals for time out usage a few weeks ago.
He's too worried about making the wrong call in everything but the offensive line and offense in general.

The biggest issue I had yesterday was this…Cam Little has a bomb on his foot. If you cross the 50 yard line you should know kicking a FG is the option on any fourth and more than 2 yards.
Even after the delay of game penalty, there was no wind and it was then a 56 yard attempt. If he makes that FG, it’s 7-6 when we get the ball back at the end of the game to try and hit a game winning field goal.
For me Pittman compounded the problem by not giving Little a shot at a 56 yarder. The offense had been horrible all day and any shite for brains should know, you better take any chance at putting points on the board.
