Our team ERA is 2.10. Our team BA is .265.

We have three pitchers that have yet to give up an earned run, and 4 more with ERA's under 2, two of them being starters. We also have 4 starters hitting below .200. Look at recruiting and coaching placement. It's clear DVH puts WAY more emphasis on the mound than he does the batter's box. The question is will this type of thinking work? This type of team did get us to the final four one year, but so did Gorilla Ball.

The Braves did fantastically well in GETTING to the world series with their hall of fame staff.

They just couldn't win for shite without hitting.

We need hitting.

UCLA won it all last year with great pitching and terrible hitting.
With that being said it is so frustrating watching a team that cant hit. I think I had more fun watching Wilkins/Cox/Eibner team over our 2012 team even though we went further in the CWS in 2012.

Going into the season we were expected to take a step back on the mound and our hitting improve. Funny how that works...dave jorn is a fantastic coach though and we're lucky to have him

I think we'll be okay, having six 1 run losses is pretty unusual at this point in the season and we've been pretty unlucky

Would really love to see the Hogs get a series win today, I think it would be a nice confidence booster

Was driving by Baum when we gunned the runner at the plate to end the 2nd or 3rd inning. Was pretty cool to see as I was driving by and listening to the call on the radio.

Kinda dumb that we had a midweek series leading into a huge home series with no break.

Our schedule definitely hasn't been kind. Last week we had two double headers in the same week.

Hogs split the double header with USCjr yesterday.

Lost game #1: 2-1

Won game #2: 4-1

Time to get that series win today, WPS

After today we will have played the top two teams in the west and the top two teams in the east already. We were really close to winning that first game yesterday.

I think we'll make a run and get things going if we can play like we did yesterday...beeks was lights out. Gonna be a tough one today though, crowe is legit

We are definitely on a roll right now. Bats are waking up and the pitching is solid.

Yeah As long as we got such great pitching we have a chance in each game.

Oliver is money in CST games, they even made a graphic about it. His ERA in regionally televised games is ridiculous.

Killian pitched good enough to win yesterday, and Beeks has been doing well lately. When this team is clicking we are pretty good. Anderson and Serrano were both 3-4 on the day IIRC and some of our infielders like Bernal and Fisher were actually able to hit today instead of just taking up space in the lineup.

This entire season is going to come down to the bats. Pitching hasn't skipped a beat. But we HAVE to hit the ball like we did this weekend or this season is going to fizzle out just like last year. We just outscored the #1 team in the country 12-3 over 3 games. This squad has potential. We just have to hit the ball.
