Everyone like the guy, everyone wanted him to do well, he has the program stable…
Neither could win a game that truly mattered. Both are players coaches. Hopefully Hunter can find a Muss of football, but I don’t have a clue who that would be.

Mike won 2 tournament games and left the program in a state to attract Muss. Sam ain't close to that.

You obviously don’t know what you are talking about, everything is pretty damn good player wise except depth in secondary, linebacker and we don’t have an offensive line.
That’s why this sucks so much more, everyone in the west was finally down, and we decided to step on the fricking rake like sideshow Bob.

? Mike never had a losing record at Arkansas while Sam is fielding our 3rd worst team ever (thank God for Chad Morris). I guess it's emotionally validating to think the roster isn't that bad.

Mike has been to an elite 8, beat Kentucky multiple times, made a SECT championship game, won NCAAT games….
Sam has lost to Liberty, BYU and the worst miss state team in 25 years at home scoring 3 points.
He’s John Pelphrey and doesn’t deserve to sniff Mikes jock strap.

He did all that here? Or did he just make a tournament and not get embarrassed by losing in the first round twice? That’s the same as winning a no one cares bowl game.

He never had a losing season in a game with 32 regular season games, plus a conference tournament. Was it really more satisfying to watch him go 16–16 that time so he could maintain his "never had a losing season" brag? He missed the tournament 5 out of 8 times. He missed a postseason entirely 3 times. Like, not even an NIT appearance.
That's a 6–6 coach at best in football.

The pelphrey analogy is actually really good. Pel also had some success early on. The coaching searches were both complete shite shows. Both coaches clearly in over their head.

He’s been paid millions to win sports games and he’s not doing if. I’d wager your job is probably more important and you’d not be given a leash like this unless you’re a Tyson kid… personal attacks are going to happen when you say the kind of dumb shite he does during pressers bc it’s crazy fans who take it very personal that he’s getting paid what they don’t and he’s admitting to not even knowing what he’s doing or trying. He’s here to cash checks and will be until we stop giving them to him. We SHOULD be using this time to conduct a legit coaching search for once, but our AD isn’t capable of doing that. Folks just don’t want to admit the loser mentality and culture of Arkansas football. It’s dangerous because that can permeate to other sports that were good at and we’re losing money. Not making bowls when you have the personnel to do it(even if it’s a lower tier bowl is a big deal). There’s not a reason to defend him for anything. He’s reaping the seeds he sewed when he jumped in bed with Jimmy Sexton. And no, he didn’t deserve what he got then.

Fair. Backed off the fat piece although that is very within his control and is just a bad look for someone of his financial stature and influence.
But this notion he has done some kind of charity work for us is what drives me crazy. You yourself said we are the 15th aggregate talented team in the league.
We’re staring down the barrel of another 0-fer SEC season and your tone sounds like Sam has graciously left us in a better place.
He’s making 6M, has made horrific hires, refuses to make personal changes and has admitted he has no idea what he’s doing in games.
Meanwhile Mizzou is top 25, we’ve lost to Aggie for a decade, Bama for 2 and it’s a huge doubt whether we can even beat FIU at home.

He's in over his head and needs to be replaced. We're all in agreement there.
That case can be made without going after him personally and discrediting the good things he did. That's my only assertion here. For all his flaws, he loves the Razorbacks and wanted us when no one else did. We should be able to let him go without putting his character through the mud.

All of this.... I am not sure what gives folks the impression, that being dickheads to anybody of any position who has shown ethics, and perseverance, is acceptable.
Nobody, and I mean nobody wanted this damn job when Sam took it over. Yep, time to go... but again, read the above!
