Jesus Christ man. There's only so much a football coach, who coaches 100+ men a season, can do. CBB gave Marshall several opportunities to even make a slight move in the right direction and got nothing in return. At that point, it seems like CBB was trying harder and putting more into rehabbing Marshall than Marshall himself was.

There's a reason 99% of other coaches would've dismissed Korliss long before CBB ever did, and it's because he wasn't willing to help himself at all and became a distraction to the other 100+ young men under CBB's watch who deserve his attention as well. Using your grandma as an example isn't even CLOSE to the same thing. First, she's direct family and that alone gives one infinitely more chances than a coach/player relationship. Second, you didn't have 100+ other grandmas that needed the same attention you were giving that one grandma. Third, you didn't give your grandma several chances to right her wrongs and have her continuously ignore them defiantly.
