“I was a little ole country boy that had a dream,” Brown says. “I was just playing football and I didn’t understand or grasp the significance of what was going on. I just wanted to be a part of what everybody had an opportunity to do. That was just my dream. I wanted to be a Razorback and I wanted to play football.”

Mentions the names of several players that supported him in his efforts
didn't see any specific coaches mentioned as having made it easier on him.
Frank was from Georgia. In terms of character, probably not an area of strength for him.

Dang it. Was really hoping a documentary about him would be made.

Wouldn't be good for Frank and the U in A, but it marked the times and should be told.

Oddly enough when I first saw this I said to myself I know a Little Rock lawyer Darrell Brown but after reading the article and some others LINK I realized this is the same man I knew. While I knew him to be a tireless worker as an attorney what I didn't know were all the details that have been posted including that he was a Razorback football player, came from Horatio, and was the first black player to play football at Arkansas. He also has a son who is a lawyer in Little Rock.
May he Rest in Peace.
